Shirlee, age 52, resides in northeast Redmond with her spouse, Ron Evans. She was born in Washington State, and raised on a farm in the Methow Valley.

She received a B.S. in Biology from Northern Arizona University and a B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of New Mexico. She has traveled extensively in the US and Latin America and volunteered with Orthopaedics Overseas in South Africa.
